Joining EER on the podcast today is Dr. Michael Knights, the Jill and Jay Bernstein Fellow at The Washington Institute, who specializes in the military and security affairs of Iraq, Iran, and the Gulf states, to speak about Ansarallah (or “the Houthis”) in Yemen, the local manifestation of the Iranian Revolution.
Dr. Knights looked to answer the questions: Why has the Houthi jihad given them so much control over Yemen? What is the nature of their regime? How do the Houthis fit into the Iranian militia network as a threat to security in the Middle East? What are the chances for peace in Yemen?
