Tore Hamming holds a Ph.D. in political and social sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. He is a non-resident fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation, King’s College and a former fellow at the Middle East Institute, CERI-Sciences Po, and the Danish Institute for International Studies. In his research, Hamming specializes in Sunni Jihadism and particularly the internal dynamics between and within Sunni Jihadi groups. Hamming has conducted field work in Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Somalia among other places.
